Litter Bit Better Cleanup

One week every spring, thousands of volunteers work together across Rochester to scour ditches, parks, waterways and boulevards to pick up tons of trash. Service groups, businesses, scout troops, schools, faith groups, and neighborhoods pitch in to make A Litter Bit Better an annual event in the City of Rochester. The Co-op is excited to participate in this year’s event!

We’re looking for volunteers to help us clean up the area surrounding our store (site 657): NE of Soldiers Field Park - between 2nd AVE SW and Broadway AVE S, South of 4 ST SW  

Volunteers are welcome to join anytime between 3-6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3. Just make sure to stop by the volunteer check-in station in the seating area before you head out. All volunteers will be provided with some Co-op’s Own™ snacks and treats.

Things to know for volunteers

  1. Bring your own safety gear. Masks, gloves and vests are not provided. Trash collection bags will be provided.

  2. All volunteers will be required to sign a Registration Waiver on-site before collection begins
