Yoga at the Co-op | Rochester
People’s Food Co-op is partnering with The Amethyst Yogi to bring accessible, donation-based yoga to the downtown community! This 60-minute vinyasa-style class is open to all levels and takes place in a private space within the co-op’s café.
Each class begins with breathwork and intention-setting, followed by a gentle warm-up and a flowing sequence of poses. Modifications will be offered so you can tailor the practice to your needs. We’ll end with a brief savasana meditation.
100% of donations go to Rachel, the instructor.
Online registration is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome—so bring a friend!

Join us for another evening vino class exploring wines from around the world. Teacher Todd has another new batch of wines to pour for you and knowledge to share. Just getting into the world of wine? This is the perfect class for you. A variety of light snacks will be available to pair with the wines.

Traditional Old Fashioned Craft Cocktail Class
The recipe used in class is pre-prohibition style, before the drink transformed into the sweet punch cocktail served in many bars today in certain parts of the country. Class will include instruction on how to make the cocktail, a brief history of the old fashioned, and a few simple variations. After class, there will be a Q&A and social time to enjoy the craft cocktail you created!
Annual Owners Meeting
Join us in-person in the La Crosse community room for a light meal and beverages at 5 PM. The business meeting will begin at 5:30 PM with door prizes and guest speakers from our co-op community. Please RSVP by January 16 and let us know if you plan to join in-person or virtually via Zoom.

Nori Maki Sushi Making Class
Join Akebono Bhushan for a lesson in how to make Japanese nori maki sushi. Participants will enjoy the sushi they make in class with a cup of miso soup and some green tea. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available.
Pierogi Making Class
Students will learn how to make pierogis that they can take home and cook themselves. Pre-made pierogis will be available to taste during class.

Join PFC for an adventurous evening of authentic Vietnamese cooking with Tan Pham and his mom!
Cooking Class: Dumplings
Learn how to make steamed and fried dumplings with Akebono Bhushan! Participants will be able to customize their ingredients to suit vegan/vegetarian/meat preferences. Fresh dumplings will be served with rice, miso soup, and various dipping sauces.
