Collard Greens

Ingredients

6 cups of collards, rinsed and chopped

3 cups of water

3 cups of vegetable broth

1 garlic clove

1/3 cup onions, diced

1 1/2 tbsp bacon fat (reserved from bacon cornbread stuffing) •

1 tsp apple cider vinegar

Directions

Bring water and broth to boil.

Add garlic clove, onions, bacon fat, and apple cider vinegar. Stir to combine all the ingredients.

Bring to a boil. Once boiling, add collards, reduce to a medium simmer and cook for about 15 minutes.
