Co-op’s Own™ Beer Brats
Ingredients
9 Co-op’s Own™ Brats
3 cans of beer, 12 oz.
1 large onion, diced
1 lb. sauerkraut
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
Preheat grill to medium high heat. Lightly oil the grate when hot.
Grill brats, flipping occasionally 18 to 25 minutes or until brats are no longer pink and the meat thermometer reads at least 160 degrees.
Put cooked brats in large saucepan and cover with beer, onions, sauerkraut, and salt and pepper.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes or until the onions are soft.
Remove brats from the sauerkraut bath. Use tongs to transfer sauerkraut and onions to your plate or bun.
