Cranberry with Orange and Cloves

makes 4 servings

Ingredients

12 oz fresh cranberries

1/2 cup orange juice

3/4 cup sugar

4 cloves

1 cinnamon stick

orange zest for garnish

Directions
In a small saucepan combine orange juice, sugar, cloves and cinnamon stick. Cook over medium high heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved and the mixture just begins to boil. 

Add cranberries and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst, and sauce thickens.

Allow to cool and then refrigerate before serving.

Garnish with orange zest if desired.
