Toasted Walnut Pesto

Ingredients

¼ cup walnuts, toasted

2 cloves garlic

¼ cup parmesan cheese

1 cup gently packed basil leaves, stems removed

¼ teaspoon salt

1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

Directions

In a food processor combine walnuts, garlic, cheese, basil, and salt then pulse to make a chunky paste.

Slowly add olive oil, pulsing between additions until well blended but still textured.

Scrape out into a bowl. Top with a thin layer of olive oil if you are not serving immediately to keep the basil from browning.
