Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

½ cup salt

2 tablespoons cinnamon

½ cup warm water

Directions

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

In a medium bowl whisk together flour, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.

Slowly stir in warm water until mixture is evenly moist.

Turn out onto a floured board and knead into a ball.

Roll out dough to ¼” thickness.

Use your favorite cookie cutters to cut out the ornaments.

Gather the dough scraps together and reroll to cut more ornaments.

Repeat until dough is used up.

Use a straw, toothpick, or chopstick to poke a hole through the top where the string will go.

Decorate by pressing into the dough or using a table knife to make lines or hash marks. (Do not cut all the way through).

Place face down on a baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour. Then flip ornaments over and bake for an additional half hour or until the ornaments are dry.

Add a string for hanging.
