Apple Bread
Ingredients
4 tablespoons butter
1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ tsp cinnamon
½ cup apples, peeled and diced
1 cup applesauce
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup toasted walnuts, rough chopped
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cut butter into flour using a fork. Mix in baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Stir in diced apples. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, whisk together applesauce, eggs, vanilla, and brown sugar until well blended.
Fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients and gently stir until evenly moist.
Fold in walnuts.
Pour into a 9x5 inch bread pan, prepared with butter.
Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool, remove from pan and enjoy!
