Cuban Sandwich

Serves 2

Ingredients

1 tablespoon butter

1 baguette

6 slices thick cut smoked ham (we like Beeler’s)

1.5 cups pork carnitas

4 slices swiss cheese

½ cup bread and butter pickles

Mustard aioli

Directions

Melt butter in a skillet over medium high heat. Cut baguette in half and toast inside in butter. Remove from the pan. Spread mustard aioli on one side of the bread.

Arrange ham slices over the mustard and carnitas on the other side. Top with pickle and then layer both sides with swiss cheese.

Broil in oven open-faced until cheese is melted. Remove from oven, close sandwich, and enjoy.
