Homemade Chocolate Sauce

3 Tablespoons butter

½ cup cocoa powder

1 ½ cups sugar

¾ cup heavy cream

¼ teaspoon vanilla

Pinch of salt

In a medium saucepan, melt butter. Remove from heat and whisk in cocoa powder. Add the rest of the ingredients and cook over a double boiler for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving. Store in the refrigerator.
