Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients
1 lb. russet potatoes, peeled, cut into cubes
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter
1/3 cup milk
Directions
Place potatoes and salt in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Water should be 1” above the potatoes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover. Simmer potatoes until soft - 15 to 20 minutes.
Drain potatoes and set aside.
In the same pan melt the butter and stir in the milk. When butter is melted, return potatoes to the pan.
Mash with a potato masher or fork until light and fluffy.
