Mini Cinnis with Easy Icing
This recipe uses the scrap dough from the baking powder biscuits. You could also make a full batch of baking powder biscuit dough and make a whole batch of mini cinnis.
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Butter 5” pie pan.
Dough scraps from Baking Powder Biscuit Recipe (approximately 2 baking powder biscuits)
1 tablespoon butter, softened
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
Roll dough into short and fat rectangle ¼” thick. Spread with butter. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the butter. Roll the dough the long way until you have a long narrow tube. Press the seam in so it stays. Cut into ½” rounds and place cut side up in the pie plate. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the tops are golden brown. Ice when slightly cooled.
Easy Icing
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons milk
1 cup powdered sugar
