Steak and Bleu Sandwich
Ingredients
2 pieces sourdough bread (we use Renaissance WI Sourdough)
1 tablespoon butter
1 steak, cooked and thinly sliced
1 tablespoon Mindoro Bleu Cheese, crumbled
Oil
1 red onion ring
1 slice tomato
Handful of fresh local greens
Directions
Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Brush onion with oil.
In a skillet over medium high heat, grill bread butter side down.
While bread is gilling, reduce heat slightly and add onion to the pan cook until it browns, flip and cook the other side.
Meanwhile sear beef and put on top of one slice of bread. Crumble bleu cheese over the top. Top with grilled onion.
Remove from heat when toast is golden. Then spread horseradish on the empty slice of bread, add tomato and greens and put the slices together to make your sandwich.
Cut and serve.
